Werner Illing House, completed in 1995, provides 21 units
for very low income seniors citizens. The building was previously
vacant and a source of neighborhoods blight, attracting graffiti,
drug-dealing and gang activity to the area. The building serves
senior citizens living on fixed incomes and is named in honor
of HCHC’s former Board Member, Werner Illing, who prior
to his passing away in 1994, was a tireless advocate of senior
citizens issues.
